Potentially, he faces an early November embarrassment. He could pull an LBJ and not accept a nomination. But there are those sealed indictments for individual one, state charges out of New York, waiting for him. He could do a Nixon and resign, counting on Pence to pardon him. Oh, wait, POTUS 46 couldn't pardon state crimes. Hmmm. Okay, try this, resign for medical reasons. Claim he is too far gone to face jail. Also a blow to his perfect genetic ego. Yeah, good luck with that. Whoever has power of medical attorney is going to step up. Who is that, I wonder. Will Ivanka take away the car keys? And if he stops being useful to some... Well, those guys like open windows, ricin, nerve agents, and just destroying people. If I recall correctly, enacting the 25th is not permanent. It's more of a waiting period. Again, I have to look this up. It might be 6 months. Maybe Pence is waiting for July 20th to pass around the piece of paper with blank lines for cabinet signatures?
