The goal is to de-legitimatize the results and lay the groundwork for fighting it out in the streets, and suspending the constitutional process.

There is a reason they are doing everything the experts say will guarantee a COVID disaster in the fall. Unprecedented crisis can be used to justify unprecedented actions.

I currently think the odds are against him pulling off a coup- but I think that its a certainty that he will try if he loses. And the damage will be immense.

Look at how he is fighting vote by mail, and destroying the USPS to sabotage it.

Deploying troops to american cities wasn’t a ham-handed over-reaction- It was practice.

If given the chance he will burn the world down rather than hand over power if he loses, and he will do all he can to punish the nation if it rejects him.

It won’t be ‘interesting’, it will be brutal if he loses, and if he wins it will be the end of of our constitutional democracy and the start of a very brutal fascist state…

If he loses we will be picking up the pieces for decades trying to repair the damage he has done. If he wins, there will be no pieces worth picking up… it will be irreparable.

The next 4 months will be the most dangerous and crucial our modern world has ever seen.

Trump is just testing the waters, seeing how much he can get away with, and how much resistance he can expect. Challenged, he will just fall back on his usual escapes and evasions; “I was just joking”, or, “I was just throwing it out there to watch the Liberal press’s head explode.”

But he is also preparing the narrative, planting the seed, that a massive fraud is being prepared by his enemies, so that if the election turns out badly for him, he can say; “You see, I told you there was an election fix on”, and point to his earlier comments as proof of his fears. A lot can happen between the election and the inauguration (about 10 weeks), time for him to judge the strength and mettle of his allies and enemies, both political and on the street.

If he thinks he can get away with it, I wouldn’t put it past him to publicly call for law’n'order support from the skinheads, the alt-right, the militias, the 2nd amendment crowd or the NeoConfederates he has been courting lately with his phony history and tradition memes. The business community is predictable, they will support anyone that promises them another tax cut. If it looks like the GOP takes a beating down-ballot in November, they may just be tempted to back him up to hold on to their seats in the statehouses and the Senate. You’re going to be hearing a lot more about the “anti-police radical antifas who have taken over the Democrat party” between now and November.

It ain’t over til its over. And I think Trump is afraid what might happen to him once he loses the immunity from investigation and prosecution provided by his office. He is not going to let that happen if there’s any way he can avoid it.

If he can’t negotiate asylum in Israel, Saudi or Russia he will have little choice but to fight.
