A lot of Americans may think that way, but the Russian internet agitprop experts know that, they are perfectly aware how it will resonate with some Americans, and that they can be counted on to repeat it.

I don’t know what’s scarier, that so many Americans think that way, or that Russian psychological warfare experts know that much about us–that they know more about us than we do.

He’s used the phrase before, too. When that cereal commercial came out a few years back which showed a white woman and her black husband and their little mulatto daughter, he used the same phrase. It was the first time it showed a mixed-race family (its quite common now) and he seemed incensed that it was being portrayed “as if it was all right”. He seemed to think there is some kind of organized propaganda effort going on designed to make everyone comfortable with the idea that whites can marry blacks.

I told him that if there wasn’t, there SHOULD be. That some people NEEDED to have it shoved down their throat. And yet my brother sincerely believes he is not a racist. He even claims to have voted for Obama.

At least he hasn’t told me that “some of his best friends are black”.

Blacks, gays, Communists, Jews, Muslims, foreigners, Latinos…these people are terrified, they seem to be running out of people to hate.

I find that interesting…
I am not sure why that is, but it’s glaring how that phrase comes up over and over again in the conservative whining about ‘the gays’…

I think it tells us something quite fundamental and important about how they think, how they make their value judgments.
