The air was clear, cool, and moist as I started with the pole saw. Power tools come out this weekend once the footing is safer and the wood isn't as wet. Reduce what I can to firewood and stack to season. Smaller stuff goes in the chipper. This is the season for mulching. The high widow-makers are for the pros.

Most of our smoke was coming from the Camron Peak fire on the NW corner of Rocky Mountain National Park. It doubled in size on Monday. That area got more than a foot of snow. But, according the the incident commander, the snow just knocked it down. They'll be containing hot spots for weeks yet. And if conditions go back to the 90's and dry, it'll flare again.

We got lucky with this storm. Another day or two of high temps and this fire would have reached Fort Collins.
