We watched a movie instead, "Seconds" one of John Frankenheimer's Paranoid Trilogy from the early 1960s,,along with "The Manchurian Candidate" and "Seven Days in May". Madame Reclus and I agreed the debate would only disappoint or enrage us, without really accomplishing anything. If Biden triumphed, the Deplorables would never notice, and if Trump swabbed the deck with Joe it would probably mean the end of the Republic anyway.
