Someone, somewhere along the way, decided that gendered grammar was some form of oppression, and decided to go the tumblrite route of whining and making shit up. The sad part is, it's gotten to the point where my local papers regularly use that crap term. Nevermind that it makes no grammatical sense whatsoever - it earns them brownie points (and sales) for using them, and they're probably paranoid that they'll lose face if they don't fall in with the trend.

Honestly, the thought of trying to use it in a sentence makes me cringe. Where does it end, anyway? "Lax familix quiere ir a Espanx, perx estamox (estamxs?) no comprende lx palabrx nuevxs en espanol."
