Whether Trump will be offered asylum in Russia or whether he will accept it is by no means clear, but the fact that it has been floated as a trial balloon in Russian State Media is worthy of note. Someone in the Kremlin is certainly calculating whether the black eye the US will get when its former president goes into exile there will more than make up for his loss of prestige among his Deplorables.
