What’s going on? Why of a sudden all the talk of electric cars?

Sure, getting away from burning fossil fuels is a good idea, and the other objections to e-cars can be overcome, but we still have to burn fossil fuels
to make the electricity to charge the car. So what’s the big Green advantage? And since most thermoelectric steam plants burn coal,
we get more CO2 than if we burn H2, CH4 or a hydrocarbon petroleum distillate in a power plant. It will be a long time before nuclear, wind, hydro
or geothermal replaces coal as a major form of steam plant energy.

Why isn’t the press pointing this out? I smell a rat.
