I had zero luck getting through to you in a variety attempts in the 5 years leading up to Jan. 6th, so I am just trying a different style and having fun with it…

After all, and I say this with a good-natured wink, you can lead an ass to water but you can’t make make him think.

But how can you expect anyone to “think” about what you say when you do it by lecture and derision?

Honest question.

In the moment there may be some solace in surrender, but in the long run you only manage to encourage the offender.

We do not repeat the truths to convince the one who is mendacious, but to prevent the lies from swaying guys who may not be as perspicacious.

For if through inaction the lies gain traction, both people and truth will die if power is gained by the lying faction.

Believe it or not, I have acquaintances even here in Canada who are anti-vax, anti vaccine passport. They’re not far removed from flat-earthers IMO. I try gentle persuasion but it’s still a waste of time. As you get older you’ll come to realize just how scarce time is.

But since you put this fable on the table let’s take time to consider the crimes (both equine and feline) that you outline- Let’s take it from the top:

The immoral moral of your tale, we can surmise, is that the way of the wise is to ignore the lies and give the ass a pass on lying about the grass.

‘So what?’ you query, ‘what harm does it carry? If the mule is a fool the tiger shouldn’t duel’- why insist on being corrective when you can simply dismiss it as a ‘matter of perspective’?

In your telling the lion is noble for not yelling when ass repeated the lie he was selling about the color of the grass. It is the Tiger’s failing for instead railing against the ass and stating that it can be clearly seen that green was the color of the grass. The wise lion accepts the donkey’s lyin’ and avoids violence by condemning the truthful tiger to unjust silence.

However the story’s conclusion is flawed, the ass did indeed deserve to be clawed- while the lie about the lawn may not be of great consequence, little lies are the brick and mortar of far larger and more deadly pretense. Once you have been conditioned accept a lie about the grass being blue not green, it becomes easier to accept a lie on bigger things, perhaps even about a vaccine.

Victory should never go to the ass, nor should little lies be allowed to pass- because just as little lies lead to bigger lies, little fools can be deadly tools when wielded by bigger more dangerous mules. Your wrong ass can elect a bigger ass, perhaps to the presidency… and that is what did happen, wasn’t it RobVG?

When we see the lies, we shouldn’t let them go. Perhaps we can avoid disaster or at least say ‘I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO’! When Ignorance screams and obfuscates all clarity, it is all the more urgent that intelligence make itself heard- even if its only for posterity. For we have paid the wages of ignorance allowed its rages, it always ends in tragedy and children locked in cages.

I know you find my prose can be ‘very harsh’, but better that than ‘its boring’, yet in these rhymes hides deeper truths- so read them Rob V. G.

If you start to opine about my rhyme, it’s meter and its verse, keep in mind before you whine- we have seen you applaud far worse.

Perhaps you will learn a lesson or two and next time not lament What you did do when you fucking KNEW the hue was not truly blue, if so then my time was indeed well spent.

When fools and fanatics are NOT called out for their lies, and when those who speak the truth are punished for doing so, then IGNORANCE WINS, and intelligence is raped and murdered by a corrupt king.

The real criminals here are not the fools and crazies who speak nonsense, they can be forgiven because they actually believe in their delusions. Those who are truly unforgiveable are those who know better, who know the truth, but who continue making excuses and covering up for the crackpots, who feel the need to change the subject when exposed for the generation of vipers they really are, because they feel the lies advance their own agenda.
