Interesting happenings at the Katla volcano in Iceland perhaps. I’ve been monitoring this volcano for a couple of months now and have seen a fairly typical pattern on the unrest chart, until today. The blue and green traces are climbing and have reached the level of the purple trace. This could suggest magma moving closer to the surface and the potential for an eruption. The up to date chart can be viewed at http://hraun.vedur.is/ja/oroi/aus.gif and a guide to reading them is at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dvz3jUYIWSarPHsvdIk3-etLBaY7M7cfAoIzgPzpfB0/edit
