Found it in the basement. Kept it in a big several liter jar. Fed it every few days. "Alice" would eat a grasshopper several times her size. Mom was not happy about it. When I was a child we often had wolf spiders get in the house... no big deal, just pick them up with a paper towel and toss them out... When I was maybe 14 I saw a big wolf spider on the floor, so I grab a tissue and reach down to grab it...as soon as I grab it, it explodes... suddenly countless TINY spiders were swarming over my hand and up my arm. You see, the wolf spider is a devoted parent- it carries its young on its body - and when I grabbed it all of a sudden I was carrying them on MY body...
