Earlier in the pandemic they were finding that many people with long term covid were finding that getting vaccinated was curing their symptoms- not sure if that would be the case for getting the booster. Omicron is breaking through the vaccine at a depressing rate (though it is overwhelmingly the unvaccinated that are ending up hospitalized or dying)- Just among the group I work with (most working from home these days) I think 6-7 have come down with it in the past 3 weeks - ALL were vaccinated with booster. Their cases were fortunately mild. What do they give for the pain? Can they provide opiates to people with a respiratory virus? We have an elderly neighbor that last year was saying that he wouldn't get the vaccine- I am not sure how much of his reason was because he was anti-vax, or because of depression (not long before the pandemic his wife died of cancer- he was wrecked by the loss).
