I got my bill from FEMA today for my flood insurance.
You know how this works. You tear off the invoice along the dotted line, fill in your information, include a check, and slide everything into the enclosed envelope provided in the mailing. Unfortunately, the address for the recipient does not line up with the window on the envelope. The invoice is shorter than the envelope is long so the address is cut off, it can’t be read through the window! I had to write FEMA’s address on the envelope, next to the window, so the Post Office can deliver it.
Bear in mind, this is the envelope that was provided by FEMA for my use.
And please don’t tell me I should take advantage of the “pay online” option, instead. If the US Government can’t be trusted to design a document that fits their own stationary, why should I trust any of their software solutions to the problem?
Yeah, I know. It’s just a little thing. But I’ve been noticing more and more of them lately, more and more often in more and more places. Entropy is starting to manifest itself.
