After seeing the first-hand footage of the father and son non-combatants that were trying to escape a besieged city with their dogs, only to be gunned down by Russian troops... after that, I cannot conjure up any sympathy for the Russians. The only way it looks like the killing of civilians will end is for a lot of Russian troops to die, and the faster the better. I am mostly a pacifist, but some people need to die so more worthwhile people can live in peace. I think the last time I used sugar for baking was a batch of chocolate chip cookies two years ago. Watching some of those videos, the way they grab several bags - it's the hording mentality, to be used as black-market currency. The older Russians remember how this works. Russia will still grow wheat. But it will pile up, excluded from the market, Africa and Asia most affected. Ukraine will not have a wheat harvest. It is all just so stupid. Morally, I do my best to wish ill to none. But the last few years are really putting my ethical code to the test. I heard the rumor that VVP can't get his Botox anymore.
