Putin had hoped Trump would had gotten a second term- that would have been the death of NATO and Putin would have been free to do what he wanted. Instead his attack unified NATO as never before and it will likely result in MORE of his neighbors joining NATO. If this doesn't end in nuclear war, Russia is severely fucked for a generation or two... if it does end in a nuclear war all humanity is fucked- permanently. And it was addressed to the world. Including Russia, but they'll never hear it, not all of it, anyway. As for the controversial statement at the end, it was not an adlib, it was not a gaff. It is how everyone who has a moral code is thinking. It was carefully worded and well delivered, with conviction, passion, anger, and sadness. Dangerous? Yeah. But the situation is dangerous. And I think the walk back by the WH was part of the plan. Imagine what the former guy would have said on that same stage. Even more so that it came from Poland. And it was addressed to the world.
