My venerable Bose Wave radio’s CD player finally broke, after 21 years of yeoman service, so I just ordered the newest model, the Wave IV. I downloaded the manual off the net and learned it is equipped with “Digital Radio” capability (in addition to the FM/AM radio).

I looked it up on the net and it looks like a whole other universe, so before I plunge into it, I’d like to know if you guys are familiar with it, is it worth it? Or is it just a gimmick?

Tell me what I need to know. Keep in mind, I’m the guy who said (after first hearing about email); “Its just a fad, some kind of Citizens’ Band radio for geeks.”
