I think Biden's blown this one. March 31, 2022 5:02 pm ER

Releasing oil from the National Petroleum Reserve is a big mistake. The world is possibly on the brink of war, and almost certainly headed for hard times all around. We should be hoarding every drop of oil, not squandering it for political or economic reasons. We, or our allies, may need that oil desperately in the near future, we shouldn’t be pouring it into our SUVs and business and holiday travel jets. Besides, rising oil prices are good for the environment. They are a way to fight global warming, this is a good way to start getting our economy off its oil addiction and training our consumers that some sacrifices must be made for the nation…and the planet. What’s the phrase? Use the free market, Joe.this is one instance where the market solution IS the best solution, for military, economic AND environmental reasons.

This is a really a dumb move, Joe. It’s the sort of thing I’d expect from a Republican, not from you.
