Formula one race in Miami. May 8, 2022 3:07 pm ER

I just watched it on TV, even though it was held in neighboring Miami, it wasn’t held off TV.

Formula racing is a lot like Indy car racing, except the cars make left AND right turns, of increasing and decreasing radius, and have to navigate hairpins and chicanes, and even an occasional straight-away, and other challenging problems that force the drivers to change gears and use their brakes. And they don’t stop the race when it rains. In spite of all this, the competitors often exceed speeds of 200 mph.

What a concept.
