There is no way in hell I will try to soften that fact to make the trash feel more comfortable.

If that makes you uncomfortable, I would suggest that has more to do with your bad choices than my way of stating the brutal ramifications of those choices.

The MAGA trash are systematically subverting our democracy, and they will win because not enough Americans see it as the treason and terrorism that it is.

When I first found the Zone while looking for information about the Opportunity Rover, I was hesitant to post for several reasons. While being well familiar with online chatting for years I was (and am) very selective in my choice of forum.

Before I made my first post, and especially before I introduced myself on the community board, I scrolled back, looking to get a feel for the community.

What I saw was excellent debate. Not always clean debate, but still smart and sharp, well written and witty. I knew that I would have to keep up my game to survive. And I knew I’d have to roll with the punches. Sort of reminded me of growing up in a big family. Stitches, fractures, contusions…

I hope you reconsider inviting anyone to this now small circle around the campfire. I have told several people about it recently. Just gave them the link. If they read it, great. If they wanted to join in they knew how to get a hold of me to cycle the airlock. Only Pebble has decided to pull up a chilly bin next to the fire and been willing to “spit on the floor and call the cat a bastard.”

This is one of the reasons Robert and I decided to make old timers like yourself moderators. So you could bring people in. But if you don’t want to, fine by me.

Like most of what he says, it contains an element of truth. But I wouldn’t invite even my liberal friends to this kind of “community”. They are above it.
