Actor James Franco has been cast in the role of Fidel Castro in an up-and-coming film, and the Liberal Hollywood glitterati are all bent out of shape because Mr Franco is not of Hispanic descent. Apparently he was selected for the role because of a remarkable physical resemblance to the late Cuban dictator.

Yes, I do follow the celebrity news.

Remember when a few years back Hollywood was getting a lot of flack because Hollywood’s Chinese detective Charley Chan was played by a white actor? Supposedly, it was disrespectful to Asians, since Chan was an eccentric, and rather goofy character. Still, in spite of his quaint and stereotypical Asian ways and his endless pseudo-Confucian proverbs, Chan always got his man. And the bumbling Anglo police he worked with always came to HIM for help because of his acknowledged crime fighting expertise. His villainous opponents were always Caucasian. The only truly pitiful and clumsy Asian character was Chan’s “Number one son”, who was dumber than a sack full of hammers, but who adopted exaggerated American habits and behavior and language.

Yes, sometimes the Libs do carry this woke nonsense a bit too far. That’s why its called “acting”, my boy.
