The documents in question may be about the fake electors Trump and his enablers tried to install. It could be about the meddling with the Dept of Justice. Possibly about the pressure campaign on Georgia and other state officials to “find the votes.” Or it could be related in some way to Trump’s mob that attacked the Capitol on January 6. The big question really is what was in these classified documents that Trump wanted to hide?

Like Johnson has, he’s lied repeatedly, broken laws he himself put in place. The consequences ? He will be out of a job, have a hefty pension and get a new position earning millions.

These things rarely get the desired consequences.

FBI seizes Scott Perry's phone...

Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) said three FBI agents approached him while he was traveling with his family Tuesday and seized his cellphone. The congressman, a Trump ally who played a key role in promoting the former president’s claims of election fraud, did not say why federal agents took his phone but wrote in a statement that the contents of his phone are not the “government’s business.” Perry said the federal law enforcement agents did not attempt to reach his attorneys before the seizure, but he wrote in his statement that they would have handed over his phone had they been contacted. A spokeswoman for the Justice Department declined to comment Tuesday evening. Perry would be the first member of Congress known to have his phone seized as federal authorities investigate efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.

After news broke Monday evening that the FBI had raided Mar-a-Lago, the Florida home of former President Donald Trump, right-wing influencer Steven Crowder delivered an alarming message to his nearly 2 million followers on Twitter: “Sleep well. Tomorrow is war.” The next day, during his show on YouTube, where he has nearly 6 million subscribers, Crowder called for the “defunding” and “dismantling” of “our intelligence agencies” and the FBI over the raid on Trump’s seaside mansion. He also called for a purge, imploring the GOP to get revenge. “The next president of the United States needs to prosecute everyone,” he said. “Needs to clean house everywhere.” “If a Republican gets in, investigate everybody, raid everybody,” he added. “Use all of it. I don’t care if we become Nicaragua at this point.”
