Not sure what to make of that. Made me think of ITAR-

One thing we have to be very careful about is International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) - making sure technologies that have weapons applications(not necessarily classified) are not given away or sold to foreign governments... unless very specific agreements are in place...

But this is LIGHT-YEARS beyond ITAR from the sound of it...

This may be one case where we should be hoping that we never know the details of what the documents cover.

It makes it clear that Trump and his lawyers opened the door for this by announcing the search and its purpose...

Whatever it was, all indications are that the documents were something very serious...

We are not talking about the menu from a state dinner, we are talking about something extremely sensitive... which begs the question "WHY would Trump keep it in his home? Why did he not make a copy and return it with the other documents he stole and later returned?"

It sounds like, whatever it was, he showed it to others- presumably to impress them... just who was it shared with?

This is starting to sound very serious... and lets be clear, mishandling classified information is a really big effing deal... It leads to serious trouble. Even if it was just accidental carelessness...

And if this was particularly sensitive information that he was intentionally mishandling after repeated requests to return it... that is insane...

From what I understand:

There is the original affidavit that details why the search warrant was issued, based on the subpoena and witness testimony. Those are not included in this proposed release.

There is the search warrant that was given to DJT's lawyers. He can release that if he chooses. It would describe what and where the evidence is.

There is the inventory of what they removed, also given to DJT's lawyers at the time. This might include evidence of crime not in the original search warrant or subpoena. He can release that as well. But he will not.

The presiding judge could release all of it. Eventually it would all come out as court records.

I read a rumor that they also seized security video of who came to look at the documents.

I doubt the judge will stop it from being released, but Trump can tie it up in court for a while...

Doesn't Trump have the right to keep the contents of the warrant sealed? In other words, the contents can't be revealed unless he chooses to do so?
