It is many groups, each with individuals under loose command, with often conflicting and disparate goals, interacting and competing, even in conflict. And the groups themselves interact in random and chaotic ways. Its not a smoothly flowing river, its more like an avalanche. And where it finally ends up is not predictable, in fact, it is often tragic. Eventually, a single charismatic leader emerges to pull all the disparate threads together into a loose coalition that one day winds up on top. He keeps on telling me this is exactly what he saw happening in Cuba in the late 1950's, except that Castro was a lot smarter than Trump.
