Saw a clip earlier of a conscription officer telling those poor bastards they’d need to provide their own sleeping bags, first aid kits, boots, pretty much everything but the uniform, which is probably 50 years old, and a rusty gun. They were told to get tampons from their wives, sisters, anyone to use to plug bullet wounds. I mean, that works, sort of, for a bit to staunch the bleeding. But damn. Surprised they were not issued amphetamines.
