But here is the thing- when one side is trying to normalize the way some people harmlessly express their sexuality, and the other side is trying to kill them- there is no goddamn question which side I am on.

Given this level of violent hate lets take a step back and understand WHY some people in marginalized groups like Drag Queens and Gays feel the need to press ‘normalization’ and do it in the most ‘in your face’ way possible. They are literally putting their lives at risk in the hopes that by doing so they will make the world a little safer for those like them in the future… That is demonstrating a level of altruistic heroism few of us will ever be called upon to show.

So yeah, have the drag-queen story hour- if people do not want to attend then they don’t have to. Put it on as often as you want- if for no other reason than to prove to the bigots that they are a dying contemptible breed and that their bigotry is being rejected by society.

If Drag Queens cause you that much distress and panic, well… you deserve it.

And NOW the shooter’s lawyers are trying to claim their client was ‘non-binary’ in hopes that will save him from hate crimes charges… and the conservatives are lapping that shit up and regurgitating it everywhere….

Ban these things. Now. The time to talk about it is now. The time to do it is now. Well, years ago, but damnit, NOW.
