I've not heard the car sized objects are payload or the balloon. I've heard both cylindrical and hexagonal. I've heard one "shattered" when it hit the ice. I've heard that NORAD has adjusted the filtering of intercepts to see smaller things, but that brings in lots of anomalies that are flocks of birds and such. I've also heard these are nothing new.
