As you know, my name is uncommon.

It was good that it learned that much, considering my name is extremely common, especially in Spanish speaking countries. But I was surprised that even though it knew who I was (not the Korean war vet, or the Civil War casualty, or the Central American politician, or the minor league baseball player, or the horse breeder, or the sex pervert locked up in California), it got very few details about me right. Still, it was more satisfying than Googling yourself!

If you ask it a general question about something you know, it answers pretty well, but it sounds like advertising copy.

What most impressed me is how smooth and conversational its prose is. That’s why I reproduced so much of our conversation. Other than its annoying habit of repeating it was an AI, and apologizing for avoiding certain subjects, it sounded human.
