It isn't surprising when people are biased because of their own interests, that's only natural. But when they deliberately pursue policies they know are mistaken, even lethal, simply because they would rather enjoy their current benefits rather than protect posterity from the long-term consequences, that is a crime against humanity. I wish I believed in God.
