I used to wonder if I could ever make it to 60. Upon reaching that age, I started wondering if I could last till 70. Now I am actually seeing I've got a good chance of hitting 80. Sure, they're a lot of things I can't do any more, but I can congratulate myself for having done them as long as possible. And the older I get, the fewer people there are who can say that. As long as the bills are getting paid, and nothing hurts, you're winning. And you will start noticing now, more and more as time slips by, that you really don't give a shit what anyone else thinks about you. That is incredibly liberating.
