I am not optimistic- by the end of this century we will see the deaths of 100's of millions (IF we are very lucky) or, more likely, billions as a direct result of this climate change (and the chaos and turmoil it will lead to) that is only just starting- even if we stopped all CO2 emissions today we are committed to catastrophe. Now its all about mitigating the severity, and we are doing nowhere enough, and what little we ARE doing in the USA, the Republicans are committed to UN-doing.
