Noro-virus would be inevitable... 10,000 people- in a box... all with uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea... Not my idea of a fun time...

However, if you live-stream it all so I can watch it all unfold on Netflix I might watch...

Icon is 365 m long and has a beam of 65 m. Her displacement is 250,800 tons.
A cubic m of water weighs 1 ton.

Below the waterline, her profile is a box. Cheaper to build and more efficient cargo carry, plus minimized wetted surface. She is flat bottomed, so nothing snags on the bottom of a shallow harbor. No graceful complex or compound curves on this hull, stability in a seaway is provided by computerized stabilizer fins and active ballast hydraulics.

The weight of the bilge filled with water must exactly equal the ship's total displacement:

365 x 65 x draft = 250,800
draft = 250,800/23,725 = 10.6 m, or about 35 feet.

Not even Jennifer Lawrence could get me to ship out on this tub.
