The forecast path will take it offshore and parallel to the Gulf Coast of Florida and to a landfall where the peninsula joins the panhandle. It will pass near Ft Myers where my brother lives and Tampa, but unless it takes an unexpected jog east they should be spared the worst. Unless it makes an unexpected turn, all I should get from it is some heavy rain.
