except for Trump being the "lesser of two evils". I'll be the first to admit I'm not reassured by Biden's age issues, or Ms Harris' potential to take over in case of his incapacity. I even made that clear before the election. Hell, I'm 76, and I'll be the first to admit I'm too old to be President. And Ms Harris, I'm afraid, is a flake. I have no confidence in her.

Still, Joe has worked out pretty well so far, and even Kamala is less of a nightmare than the Trumpster. I'll take a little senility or even downright incompetence over pure unadulterated Lovecraftian evil every time.

America missed its chance with Hillary. She was the best qualified candidate by far, perhaps ever, and still managed to beat the Donald soundly in the popular vote. She was the President Putin feared most, which is why he worked so hard to support Trump. Historians will determine it was the Electoral College that destroyed American Democracy. The rights of the minority should be protected constitutionally, not electorally. THAT issue was settled once and for all in 1865.

What worries me is Biden's "perceived" diminished capacity. And even though the country might be ready for a black woman president, Harris doesn't instill confidence.
The non-voters you mention may be choosing to throw in the towel faced with the choices.

Selecting Harris for running mate was a successful political chess move. It appealed to anyone wanting to see some long-standing wrongs righted. But I don't think it was well thought out. It could be called the Harris hangover.
