Asteroids October 26, 2023 10:38 pm BuckGalaxy

There’s an old joke, why do they call asteroids asteroids and hemorrhoids hemorrhoids? Wouldn’t make more sense if they were reversed?

I had asteroid surgery about four weeks ago and if anyone ever needs it all I can say is be prepared for the most agonizing pain of your life. I’ve had broken bones, exposed nerves on molars, absolutely excrutiating pain. Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever compare to the pain experienced following the first few days of asteroid surgery. Pain has a whole new meaning for me. What used to be a 10 is now a 5. 800mg Ibruprofin, 1000mg acetaminophn, even oxycodone barely put a dent in the pain. Pain I never imagined existed that made me angry at the universe for letting it evolve.

I’m about 98% recovered and only experience some discomfort occassionally. I cannot say how glad I am that is behind me. No pun intended.
