The millions who believe god has instructed them to do something and it utterly fails, making them foolish or even dead. And of course the seemingly near inevitability that once something is discarded it is suddenly needed. That happens more often than randomness should suggest. Maybe god is getting a lot of entertainment laughing his ass off at us. I have often thought that if god actually existed it must be a mischeivious being.
