In a classroom that was basically a study hall led by a Hippy, so he didn't care what we did during that hour. Dark Side of the Moon changed my life. I still like my guilty pleasure of watching reaction videos of young ones hearing Floyd for the first time. 9th grade. My best friend turned me on to the Floyd. But about 15 years later I got to pay it forward, not to him, but to another dear friend, a young man about 10 years younger than I was. "2001" was playing in town and I asked him if he had ever seen it. "No," he replied, "that's some kind of science-fiction thing, isn't it?" So we drove down to the theater, sharing a big TFP of righteous Columbian weed on the way. It kicked in right about the time we settled into our seats and the movie started, and the buzz lasted pretty much till it ended. He never uttered a word during the entire movie.
