I noticed them and delayed doing something about it because they were just an inconvenience, but I could tell they were getting progressively worse. I also realized I might night not be able to get the surgery if I waited much longer, due to health or insurance issues, so I decided to go though with it. It appears now that I made the right decision, and I recommend it to anyone in my position. The improvement is noticeable, but not overwhelming or miraculous. Still, it is wonderful to not have to be constantly fumbling around with glasses. And even with light pollution, the sky, the forest and the sea, are still a wonder to behold. It went pretty much the same way you described. I've been told I have the microscopic beginnings of cataracts, but probably won't have to worry about them for a decade.
