Suppose Trump does win the election. Who will succeed him? I’m assuming, of course, that there is another Presidential election, or that Trump dies in office, or that he retires or otherwise is removed.
JD Vance is Vice President, but it isn’t too hard to visualize circumstances where he might not be available. Think of the other potential Number Twos lurking in the wings…
Ted Cruz, Jim Jordan, Lyndsey Graham, Tom Cotton, Steves Miller & Bannon,
Marco Rubio, George Abbott, Clarence Thomas…I could go on, of course, but I guess you get my point. Whoever is constitutionally eligible to succeed the Big Red One is going to find himself surrounded by a school of sharks with plenty of good reasons why he shouldn’t get the job. There will be chum in the water. Unless Trump is succeeded by a very strong and ruthless inheritor there will be a battle of cosmic proportions to decide who will inherit his legions of Deplorables. There will be a bloodbath, you can count on it.
If Trump does win the election, it won’t even matter if he never takes the oath. Someone just like him will step in and take his place
