Europa Clipper launches October 15, 2024 12:45 am BuckGalaxy

Europa Clipper has begun its 5.5 year journey to “look for the conditions that can support life.”

Water, Energy, Chemistry. Yeah let’s look for those things because who knows, maybe every scientific measurement we’ve taken since Voyager flew past are all wrong! Maybe that’s not really an ocean under that ice we see from the cracks and measured with many instruments? Maybe there is no energy there created by Jupiter’s massive gravity? Maybe the detection of hydrogen, oxygen, ntirogen and carbon are all wrong too. We better check a few more times to be sure, before we actually try to detect lifeforms.

It’s not a discovery for our time. It’s a discovery that needs to be made by our Grandchildren when they are old!

Well as I linked a while back there is an instrument on EO that could potentially find life. If they use it in a creative way that is. TIME will tell.
