Basic physics question February 27, 2025 7:54 pm RobVG

A model rocket usually has a lightweight nose which is usually just a fraction of the total length. The ejection charge forces the nose cone and parachute out of the tube.
If friction forces are the same, would the ejection charge need to be stronger if the rocket separated in the middle with half the mass forward and half to the rear?
