Seventy million plus SS seniors up in arms will scare the shit out of even the most malignant maga moron members of Congress. Efforts to make SS fail may hurt the system but it will have to be saved before the actual collapse. Unfortunately, the more damage done, the more expensive the fix will ultimately be. As for Medicare, I went with the HMO plan so no need for supplemental insurance. I turned 65 last October so I am new to Medicare. I also have the VA as a backup and in fact have used that most of my life. I'm going to continue to use the VA for meds so no need for Medicare Part D.
