Russia’s press and media have always been very friendly to UFO and ETI stories, and there seems to be a public interest on those topics far exceeding the USA’s. The coverage ranges from scholarly reports and analysis of legit astrobiological research and professional monographs to the most ludicrous yellow journalism, including wacko abduction stories.

None of this anomalist fanzine stuff should be particularly surprising. but what IS surprising is how the government, which so carefully keeps an eye on media content, should allow this to be so.
