I had read it initially decades ago. I bought the 7 book Dune series on Amazon and plan on reading them all. I also want to read Asimov's Foundation series which I ashamedly admit I have never read. Just trying to prioritize.

I had mentioned in a previous post Christopher Ruocchio’s Suneater series. It almost feels like it was set in the Dune universe only 10 thousand years further in the future. Actually more detailed and not a copy of Dune by any stretch, but clearly influenced by it. I've read the first six books of the series (500+ pages/book), with the last book in the series coming out in November.

The first was a flawed masterpiece, but a masterpiece nonetheless. I re-read it every few years.

The second was not bad.

The third was tolerable.

The rest were forgettable.

But the first several times.

Didn't really care for the others, to be honest.
