There’s reports that trump gave Iran “permission” to launch missiles at the base in Qatar. Iran was warned ahead of time about the bombing of the nuclear sites, and personnel had time to evacuate. Although not exactly the same thing, these acts of “diplomacy” remind me of the Star Trek episode where nuclear war was simulated, and people voluntarily walked into incinerators.
