Any one of these shows would easliy be worth a month’s subscription to AppleTV. There are also a number of other Sci Fi shows that are not bad, just not on the excellent level of the ones I mentioned. Also many non sci fi shows worth watching. AppleTV is the best streaming hands down.

Another interesting point I read that I missed watching the show: Demerzel’s eye flashed morse code right before her skull blinked out. No bullshit, it said “Transferred.”

Makes sense since Lee Pace and Laura Birn are the biggest stars of the show. Apple would be nuts to eliminate their two biggest viewer draws. These two are the money makers for the show.

Reports are already out that Pace and Birn are signed for season 4.

I also can see where the budget cuts are slightly diminishing the quality of the special effects. I’m disappointed the show runner David S. Goyer stepped down. The new show runner, Ian Goldberg, is not my favorite (Fear the Walking Dead was way inferior to the original Walking Dead series).

Nonetheless, it was a very good season and I will certainly watch season 4 when it comes out.

People who’ve read the books might gripe that the series does not follow them exactly. Demerzel was not a female character in the books. Spacers were not a separate species. The empire was millions of planets not thousands, etc. The best way to watch foundation is not to compare it with the books but to appreciate the true excellence of this deeply complex show as it stands on its own.
