Thoughts and prayers are all that is ever offered. No action is ever necessary. But have a lone foreigner act in a criminal way, and the GOP demands action must be taken against ALL foreigners who fit that profile. It's a sordid and shameful picture. He officially applied for asylum in 2024, and it was granted in April 2025, during the Trump administration. So he was allowed in immediately after the government collapse in Afghanistan, but apparently his vetting was completed during the Trump admin.
