That point is kind of a Red Herring. During both Iraq wars Israel was specifically told to not help so as not to inflame the parts of the Arab world who supported our wars on Saddam. Same goes for Afghanistan. Vietnam and Korea were no where in their reach. Israel is not part of NATO so they had nothing to do with Bosnia and were never asked to get involved.

Yes, and a powerful military ally. They, like all our allies, are a power multiplier for the US.

Trump’s starting and handling of this war has been idiotic. No question Iran was an existential threat to Israel, and also a constant threat to the Gulf States, but it was not imminent.
