And consider how Germany and Japan are both going full steam ahead with rearming. That will certainly shift the balance of power in Europe and Asia. Trump's retreat from the commitments and alliance structure we built and maintained for a lifetime has turned the relatively stable world order on its head. Middle powers are not likely to roll over.
