If men could get pregnant, abortion would have been legal long ago..
Yeah, I know its an old feminist cliche, but that don’t mean it ain’t true.
However, modern technology could be used today to render the whole idea or extramarital pregnancy moot. A simple DNA test could establish without question who the biological parents of any fetus are, and the law could ensure both parents would be responsible for the child’s upbringing.
Many pregnancies are subject to termination even though the parents may be legally married. There are incest, rape, medical and financial reasons and even happily married couples might wish to limit the size or timing of their families, it isn’t always a question of feminine moral turpitude and irresponsibility as Conservative voices insist.
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina Republican gubernatorial nominee Mark Robinson has been battered for months by his Democratic rival and other adversaries for seeking additional abortion restrictions beyond current state law and for past comments upbraiding women on the issue.
“Abortion in this country is not about protecting the lives of mothers. It’s about killing the child because you weren’t responsible enough to keep your skirt down,” Robinson said in a Facebook video in 2019, the year before he was elected lieutenant governor in his first bid for public office.

If Republicans insist on outlawing abortions, then they should be in favor of making the fathers 50% responsible for the child’s support. At the very least, the identity of both parents should be made public.
If this were implemented, I bet restrictions against abortion would disappear overnight. Until today, there never was any question as to who the mother was, but the father could never be determined with any certainty. As a result, the mother pays the price and the father escapes scot-free.
Restrictions on abortions have nothing to do with preserving the lives of unborn children. Some people just can’t tolerate the idea that there are people out there getting laid and that they’re not being punished for it.
