Austerity measures do not seem to be working in Europe as nation after nation falls into double dip recession. Perhaps stimulus is the answer, as practiced by Mr Obama in the US?
At any rate, those of us interested in what might happen in the USA if Mr Romney wins the election might do well to cast their eyes across the pond. Severe cutbacks to government spending and reductions of government investment are the solution being implemented there, and suggested here. How it works out for them may be a useful policy guide for us to consider before we try it. Wherever America is heading, Europe will get there first.
